A great way for couples and friends with different interests to share a holiday. Everyone joins together for the basic sightseeing programme, but two different sets of activities are available: Golf at some of Thailand's beautiful courses, or Cooking Classes with skilled Thai chefs.
What to expect: The overall itinerary is full but not hectic. There will often be leisure time in the afternoons to relax, explore independently or enjoy a spa treatment. Visiting sites may at times involve climbing many stairs and walking some distances. A reasonable degree of mobility will be needed to climb in and out of boats, and for the elephant riding and bamboo rafting in Chiang Mai.
Transport: Coach or van (depending on group size), air, boat.
Accommodation: Hotels are good but not overly posh - they have been selected for a combination of good value and excellent location. The city hotels are centrally located in busy shopping areas with plenty of restaurant choices nearby. The Grand Centre Point Bangkok has fully-equipped studio rooms, for a very comfortable stay. In Chiang Mai, the Night Market is just steps away.
Meals: Meals include daily breakfast, and 4 dinners. Golfers have 3 lunches included, while those joining the Cooking Programme have 8 lunches included (many of which they will cook themselves!). It is easy choose and pay for other meals locally. Dining options in the cities are many and varied - from cheap local eats to international fast food to elegant top dining venues. There are also restaurants in the hotels if you don't wish to venture out.
