Depart this morning for Gayasan National Park. Visit Haeinsa Temple, with its world famous Korean cultural treasure called Tripikata Koreana, which was made during the Goryo Dynasty to protect the country from the invasion of Mongolian troops by Buddha's power. This Tripitaka Koreana was designated by UNESCO as World Heritage. Proceed to Andong, a 2-hour drive. Hahoe Village, in Andong is a well-preserved village with its traditional style noble houses. In 1999, Queen Elisabeth II visited Hahoe Village and was welcomed with Birthday Party Table decorated in Korean traditional style. Hahoe Village is famous for its own mask dance. Proceed to Chungju Lake and check-in to Cheongpoong Lake Hotel.

After breakfast, take a ride on the Sightseeing Boat to enjoy the lakeside scenery. (In the Winter season, the boat tour is subject to weather conditions.)
Transfer to Seorak via Gangneung. In Gangneung, visit the Chamsori Gramophone & Audio Museum. This museum boasts an incredible collection of 19th Century gramophones and 1st generation audio systems. Proceed to Mt. Doota for unique temple stay experience at Samwhasa Temple. Upon arrival at the temple, change your clothes to a temple uniform prepared by the temple. An orientation will follow, to familiarize you with the temple regulations and schedule.
Attend the evening ceremony of bell-ringing, the evening chanting mass and Meditation course. For one night, you will not have phone and TV in your private Korean traditional style room. Shower room and toilet are shared. No alcohol is allowed at temple. Accommodation is based on 2 person to a room. Overnight at the Temple.

Wake up at 3 am for morning mass (voluntary). After breakfast, transfer to DMZ Unification Observatory at the East Coast border for a very close view of North Korea. Return to Mt. Seorak National Park for cable car ride to Gwonkeumsansung and visit to Shinheungsa Temple. You will have a chance to enjoy a hot spring swim or sauna at Waterpia Spa Park (own expense). Return to hotel on own by taxi after enjoying the best water park of Korea. (In the Winter season, a ski resort visit can be arranged instead - ski gear rental fee and lift fee at your own expense). Check into the Kensington Hotel for overnight.

After breakfast, transfer to Gapyeong to visit the Morning Calm Flower and Tree Park, which displays unique Korean wild flowers and trees in a garden located in mountain valley. (For tours in the months of Nov - Apr visit Yangpyeong Filming Studio with all the movie sets instead of the flower park) Transfer to Seoul and visit Itaewon Street with free time for shopping for leather bags, shoes, Korean dolls, etc. Check-in to Hamilton Hotel.
